Technical Engineer Responsible for HVAC-MCR-BMS-CCC Domains at CIT-S

To complete its team, the Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety (CIT-S) of the CHUV is seeking a Technical Engineer Responsible for the Heating / Ventilation / Air Conditioning (HVAC) - Measurement / Control / Regulation (MCR) - Building Management / Technical / Building (BMS) and Control Centre (CCC) domains, at a workload between 80% and 100%, for a start date from 1 November 2026 or to be agreed.

Context

The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety (CIT-S) of the CHUV has as its main missions the operation, maintenance, construction, engineering, technical assistance and advice within a large hospital real estate portfolio.

Its activities revolve around three major axes: the construction and modernisation of infrastructures, the operation and maintenance of technical and biomedical equipment ensuring the continuity of medical, research and administrative activities, as well as the protection and safety of property and people.

Within this framework, you contribute to the smooth running of a complex technical park, including nearly 700 monoblocs, and intervene on critical installations such as pharmaceutical manufacturing areas or operating theatres.

The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. In collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a reference role in the fields of care, medical research and training.

Mission

• You manage and lead the workshops in the technical domains under your responsibility within the technical operations section, composed of about 25 employees, supported by 4 deputy workshop managers
• You lead the processes related to planning and operational monitoring, as well as the more operational aspects of maintenance management, regulatory compliance and operational safety of installations
• You manage and lead all phases as Project Manager of complex technical work operations and the construction of installations and technical equipment in your areas of responsibility
• You carry out specific activities related to the role of deputy Head of the Technical Operations Section
• You collaborate closely with the engineering and construction sections within CIT-S
• You ensure active technological watch in your field of expertise
• You work in an environment subject to a Quality Management System.

Profile

• You hold a HES Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification in a technical field such as HVAC/BMS/MCR/CCC
• You have solid professional experience (minimum 10 years) in the operation and maintenance of technical installations
• You have proven experience in personnel management and demonstrate awareness of energy issues
• You possess good knowledge of hospital technical installations
• You master the standards, laws and regulations related to technical professions
• You are proficient in office and professional IT tools.
