Editor of the TCS Valais Section Bulletin
Do you enjoy writing, storytelling, highlighting projects and bringing a community to life through words and images? TCS Valais is looking for a creative, autonomous and organised person to take charge of writing and coordinating its bulletin.
Your mission
As the bulletin editor (4 times a year), you are at the heart of the editorial communication of our section. You conceive the topics, propose them, set the line and tone of the bulletin and oversee its production, from the initial idea to the printed product. Estimated annual working time: 200 hours.
Specifically, you:
- develop, in collaboration with the relevant people, an annual communication strategy and the accompanying budget;
- propose and develop the topics for the TCS Valais bulletin, in line with the guidelines, the annual programme and the section’s activities;
- ensure the complete writing of the bulletin;
- coordinate the editorial contributions of committee members and the public affairs officer;
- ensure collaboration with Upper Valais, notably to guarantee content adapted to this linguistic region and coordinate translation work;
- source and manage the photos and illustrations needed for the bulletin and manage the photo library;
- coordinate the graphic aspect according to decisions made by the committee;
- prepare the first draft of the bulletin for proofreading and ensure necessary adaptations;
- coordinate relations with the printing house, ensuring deadlines are met and the quality of the final product;
- ensure coordination with the central office for insertion and proper receipt of the bulletin.
Your profile
We are looking for a person who:
- has an excellent writing style and enjoys writing for different audiences;
- knows how to transform information into clear, lively and attractive content;
- has good journalistic sense and can identify topics worthy of being highlighted;
- is comfortable coordinating several contributors and production stages;
- is autonomous, rigorous and has excellent organisational skills;
- has an interest in communication, regional news and community life;
- appreciates working collaboratively with a committee and various partners;
- has a sensitivity for layout, imagery and visual communication;
- has solid experience in writing, journalism, communication or publishing;
- has completed university-level or equivalent training.
