Role:
In this role, you will take on the head of department position in real estate management and apply your senior expertise in a versatile, demanding environment. You are responsible for a wide range of tasks in managing rental properties and local community assets and make independent decisions with significant impact. You apply your professional and leadership skills daily to optimise processes and manage projects professionally. You work closely with a motivated team and actively shape processes. Responsibilities:
- In this role, you lead the rental properties section with five employees and bear leadership responsibility.
- You ensure professional, economical, and legally compliant management of the rented properties of the city of Aarau.
- As head of department real estate management, you navigate confidently in the political environment and use your in-depth understanding of tenancy law.
- You apply your solid knowledge of property accounting for correct financial control of your area of responsibility.
- You prepare reports, proposals, and decision-making bases for the city council and represent your dossiers to internal and external stakeholders.
- In this role, you assume overall professional, financial, and personnel responsibility in your area of tasks.
Qualifications:
- Several years of professional experience in real estate management, ideally complemented by further training with a federal specialist certificate in real estate management or as a federally certified real estate trustee
- Structured, independent, and efficient working style with confident prioritisation
- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead a team clearly and appreciatively
- High communication skills and confident, polished appearance in the political environment
- Resilience and overview even in demanding, complex situations
- Strong sense of responsibility and high reliability in all tasks
