About the job
The Schaffhausen Hospitals include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Each year, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. Additionally, we are an important training centre in the canton.
In the elective study year (2nd year of the Master of Human Medicine), students can gain in-depth insights into the work of a urologist as assistant physicians in our Urology Clinic. They actively participate in the clinical routine.

What Awaits You
- You will care for urological patients in the outpatient clinic, inpatient area, and operating theatre together with the medical team
- Admission examinations / medical history taking for elective patients
- If needed, you will assist in various operations
- Participation in departmental work such as ward rounds, patient care, and documentation
- Various internal departmental training opportunities

What You Bring to Us
- Commitment and enthusiasm for a clinically interdisciplinary oriented activity
- Very good German language skills, both spoken and written (minimum requirement level C1)
- Social competence in dealing with patients and relatives
- Swiss or EU citizenship
