About the job
Work close to the patient, with responsibility and tangible impact – instead of in anonymous structures and unnecessary administrative burden.
Would you like to have more time for medicine – instead of administration? In a regional hospital in Central Switzerland, exactly that awaits you: a manageable environment, short decision-making paths, and genuine proximity to the patient. With around 400 employees, 10 medical specialties, and about 60 beds across all wards, the hospital offers an ideal size: broadly positioned, yet remaining personal. You will work diversely in internal medicine, take on responsibility, and see immediately what your work achieves – without getting lost in anonymous structures.
Even outside the hospital, the region convinces: high quality of life, lots of nature, and at the same time very good connections. Cities like Zurich, Lucerne, or Zug are quickly reachable – ideal if you want to combine tranquillity and leisure value with urban opportunities.
The position is deliberately open: whether experienced specialist, newly qualified, or returning after a break – what matters is your motivation and joy in internal medicine.
Your tasks:
- You take on a broad range of duties in internal medicine (metabolic diseases, vascular, cardiology, infections, pneumology, gastroenterology, oncology)
- Besides the wards, you will be deployed in the emergency department and the IMC
- You take on on-call duties
- Supervising junior doctors is also part of your responsibilities
Your skills:
- You have successfully completed the specialist training in general internal medicine
- We are happy to support you financially and with advice in obtaining your MEBEKO recognitions
- You are familiar with ultrasound diagnostics and have applied it frequently in the past
- Your German language skills are at least at level B2
Your benefits:
- A familiar, competent team and generally good working atmosphere
- Generous support for further education and training
- At least 5 weeks’ holiday and the possibility to purchase additional days off
- Full coverage of premiums for non-occupational accident and daily sickness allowance insurance
