About the job
The municipal real estate portfolio includes around 1,200 properties and a land area of just over two million square meters. This makes the city of Thun one of the significant real estate owners in the canton of Bern. The city mainly needs the properties to fulfill its tasks.
Due to retirement, we are looking for a motivated person as of October 1, 2026
Your tasks:
- Responsibility for the efficient operation and maintenance of municipal buildings and technical systems (HVAC, electrical, security).
- Organization and execution of maintenance and cleaning work.
- Minor repairs, seasonal work, supervision and coordination of external service providers.
- Ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and safety of the properties.
- Deputizing within the team, on-call duty including evening or weekend assignments.
- Efficient execution of assigned courier and postal services including collection, delivery, internal transports and sorting as well as supporting the team with special tasks.
You bring:
- EFZ as a specialist in operational maintenance or basic craft training with professional experience.
- Technical understanding and experience in building operations.
- Teamwork skills, assertiveness, service-oriented working style.
- Good IT skills (MS Office) and driving license category B.
- Strong enjoyment of service-oriented interaction with customers, partners, and users in the respective area of deployment (education, sports, services, etc.).
