About the job
At Ampersand, the fire is at the centre. We grill over an open flame, develop our seasonal dishes together, and are looking for a personality who takes responsibility, leads a team of 4–6 kitchen staff, inspires and cooks with passion.
We use exclusively Swiss meat as well as high-quality products from local suppliers.
Around the globe, grilling is celebrated with various influences and in different ways. This diversity is tangibly lived at Restaurant Ampersand. Here, we transform meat, vegetables, fish, and even sweets on the visible charcoal grill into real delicacies. The contemporary interior design with high-quality equipment, as well as the exciting wine selection, contribute to a unique visit to Ampersand.

We are looking for a Deputy Operations Manager (a) by arrangement
Tasks to be done
- You are responsible for the operational management of Ampersand as well as leading the team in the absence of the Operations Manager
- You welcome, attend to, surprise and bid farewell to our guests
- You are responsible for all ordering processes
- You organise and conduct events, banquets and group enquiries
- You design and conduct training sessions for the team
What we expect from you
- You have completed training in the hospitality industry and have several years of professional experience - a degree from a hotel management school is an advantage
- You have preferably already gained some leadership experience
- You have good knowledge of wine
- You speak fluent German and English
- You enjoy working actively at the front in a dynamic team
