We are looking for a Strategic Buyer Mechanical Components to further develop our supplier portfolios and ensure a reliable, sustainable, and competitive supply. Endress+Hauser Flow develops and produces innovative flow measurement technology for demanding applications in the process industry. At our site in Reinach, we work closely across functions and country borders in an international environment.
What is the role about?
Would you like to strategically shape supplier relationships and achieve measurable improvements along the supply chain? Do you recognise not only risks but also new opportunities in market changes? Do you enjoy working with international teams and various internal stakeholders? In this regionally focused purchasing role, you will implement global category strategies for mechanical components and contribute to improving supply security, quality, costs, and sustainability in the long term. We are looking for a personality who initiates change, gets things moving, and wants to help shape sustainable improvements.
What tasks will you take on?
You will:
- develop and manage strategic supplier portfolios, including selection, qualification, negotiations, contract management, and performance monitoring.
- be responsible for supplier performance in your region, keeping an eye on supply security, quality, costs, sustainability, and delivery reliability.
- drive supplier development programmes and optimisation projects along the supply chain, for example in the areas of costs, lean management, and inventories.
- escalate delivery and quality issues with suppliers, analyse causes together, and implement sustainable solutions.
- further develop and implement global category strategies regionally through market analyses and the identification of trends, risks, and opportunities.
- build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, understand business requirements, and ensure acceptance of joint purchasing strategies.
What do we expect from you?
You:
- have a completed degree or comparable qualification in a technical, commercial, or supply chain environment and bring at least 3 years of experience in strategic purchasing.
- possess sound knowledge in supplier and contract management as well as supply chain processes; experience in purchasing mechanical components is an advantage.
- think strategically and analytically and translate overarching strategies into concrete, actionable measures.
- communicate and negotiate confidently in an international environment and effectively manage different stakeholders.
- work in a team-oriented and goal-driven manner and align your actions with customer needs and sustainable results.
- negotiate confidently in English; German skills are an advantage.
