Summary of responsibilities:
Reporting to the In Room Dining Supervisor, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Be responsible for the proper execution of setups and preparation of your area in collaboration with your superior
- Have a perfect knowledge of the In Room Dining and Pureaty Café food and beverage menu
- Assist guests regarding menu composition in an informative and helpful manner
- Perform opening and closing duties of the department
- Check the order before serving it to the guest and ensure dishes are served according to standards
- Serve the order to the guest in the room discreetly
- Ensure guest satisfaction and well-being
- Ensure the cleanliness of cutlery arranged on trays and tables at the Pureaty Café
- Respond to guest requests
- Participate in replacements
- Participate in cleaning duties of your department
- Learn LQA technical and emotional standards and apply them
- Strive to perfect your technical and theoretical knowledge to ensure perfect service for a demanding clientele
- Communicate any potential problems to your superior and respect work plans and schedules as well as directives and decisions made by your superior
- Actively participate in service in other departments or events taking place at the hotel, upon request of your superiors
- Commit to the quality of your service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
- Be flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work in another department occasionally
- Respect ergonomic work standards in health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary prescriptions
- Respect the policies, procedures, and service standards of the department and company
- Any other tasks as assigned
- Internship as part of hotel training
- Fluency in French
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset
- Ability to work in a team
- Flexibility and initiative
- Ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously and manage last-minute changes

The physical implications of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Constant: standing and walking throughout the work period
- Constant: lifting and carrying loads
- Constant: kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Frequent: climbing up or down stairs and ramps
- Pureaty: maintaining continuous work pace outdoors (sun, heat)
VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must have a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
