Specialist in Open Child and Youth Work (60%)
What you will achieve with us
- You are responsible for the operation of the Niederscherli child and youth centre and the associated area
- You encourage and accompany children and young people in leisure activities and actively involve them
- You work outreach when necessary and support interventions in public spaces
- You raise awareness among and support children and young people and triage them when necessary
- You network with schools, neighbourhood organisations, churches, specialist and administrative offices and work constructively with them
- You lead target group-specific projects in the Niederscherli area and collaborate across areas and in projects of the municipality of Köniz
How you inspire us
- Diploma in sociocultural animation, social pedagogy, social work or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in open child and youth work
- Willingness to help shape open child and youth work according to professional criteria and to take responsibility for the area of responsibility
- You are able to build trusting, professional relationships with children and young people
- Teamwork skills, resilience and determination when necessary
- Willingness to work on Friday evenings and occasionally at weekends
