In this role, you take responsibility for the planning, programming, and commissioning of PLC controls in demanding automation projects. You analyse processes, develop efficient automation solutions, and ensure their reliable function through testing and optimisation. You work closely with various interfaces to translate requirements into precise technical concepts and control programmes. You use your experience to systematically identify sources of error, resolve faults, and drive continuous improvements in plant performance. Additionally, you document your solutions in a structured manner, ensuring high traceability and sustainable further development of the automation systems.
Responsibilities:
- You programme PLC-controlled testing and assembly systems as well as robot controls in compliance with SEV and SUVA safety regulations
- In this role, you take care of the setup and commissioning of new and modified systems
- As an Automation Engineer PLC, you troubleshoot faults and carry out inspection, maintenance, and repair of automated systems and robot systems
- You carefully document your work steps and activities
- In this role, you identify optimisation potentials in PLC programming and implement them
- As an Automation Engineer PLC, you actively participate in automation projects
Qualifications:
- You have completed an apprenticeship as an automation technician, further training such as a higher technical college (HF) qualification is advantageous
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in a comparable role
- You possess solid knowledge in PLC programming, ideally complemented by experience in robotics
- You work independently, reliably, and with a high level of quality awareness
- You can communicate convincingly and efficiently with production, logistics, and external suppliers
- You are proficient in MS Office
