This is what the professional everyday life looks like

The Rehabilitation Clinic, together with the Geriatrics Clinic, forms the largest centre within the Cantonal Hospital Baselland and is an economic entity. It specialises in rehabilitative care and, as a rehabilitation unit integrated into the acute hospital, works closely with the acute somatic departments.

• Overall responsible management of the Rehabilitation Clinic in the Geriatrics & Rehabilitation Centre
• Care of inpatients as well as outpatient consultation activities
• Active participation and shaping of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation process, both from a medical perspective and in close collaboration with all involved professionals
• Strategic and economic further development as well as optimisation of the inpatient rehabilitation services
• Active expansion and economic further development of outpatient rehabilitation services including the Department of Physical Medicine
• Leadership and further development of the clinic in close partnership with nursing and therapy management
• Further development of integrated rehabilitation through close networking with acute somatic disciplines
• Ensuring modern and needs-based continuing education and training for colleagues from medical and non-medical fields
• Participation in the centre’s night and weekend on-call service
• Maintaining and expanding close relationships with referring specialists and hospitals and expanding the network
• Active involvement in various projects

Competences and potential

• Completed medical studies in Switzerland or a medical diploma recognised by the Medical Professions Commission (MEBEKO)
• Specialist training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or an equivalent qualification recognised by MEBEKO
• Ideally, the personal requirements for recognition as a training centre of category A according to SIWF in inpatient musculoskeletal rehabilitation
• Several years of professional experience as well as proven leadership skills
• Experience in the economic management of a clinical area
• Empathetic and innovative personality with enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Team-oriented and communicative leadership personality with high social competence as well as pronounced analytical and conceptual thinking skills
