The Geneva Foundation for Sociocultural Animation is a partnership institution, funded by the Canton and the municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, sociocultural and associative field actions carried out by centres and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, quality of life, with a general aim of preventing social exclusion.
Announcement of a vacancy for a sociocultural facilitator with a 65% team leader mandate on a fixed-term contract as soon as possible until 31 December 2026 within the Surville-Tivoli sociocultural animation scheme to ensure the animation and supervision of activities for children as part of a sociocultural animation scheme.
Job Description
- Assume responsibility for the experimental sociocultural animation scheme, institutional policy, budget and strategic orientations;
- Assume responsibility for animation work and socio-educational work;
- In collaboration with municipal services, local groups and associations of the municipality, actively contribute to the associative dynamic by offering spaces for sharing, meetings and activities for children. These initiatives aim to encourage mutual respect, friendliness, tolerance, autonomy, and civic participation;
- Actively collaborate in the development of the animation programme and the monitoring of the institutional project;
- Actively participate in the conceptualisation and implementation of targeted actions, as well as animation projects;
- Develop and maintain dynamic and trustworthy internal communication to ensure the flow of information;
- Actively participate in budget preparation;
- Assume management tasks related to activities.
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work, HES level or an equivalent university degree;
- Ability and willingness to work in groups and networks;
- Ease in understanding and using computer software and social networks;
- Rigor and good writing skills;
- Sense of organisation and work planning, while knowing how to manage new situations, priorities and emergencies;
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social system and the functioning of FASe, openness to collaboration within the framework of regionalisation;
- Skills in managing a team of facilitators, supervisors, administrative and technical staff;
- Ability to create team cohesion and promote communication;
- Be a motivated, dynamic person wishing to invest in an active, solid and creative team.
Additional Information
- Flexibility in working hours (activities at the end of the day and on Saturdays)
- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 16
- Position to be filled: to be agreed
- The fixed-term contract will be established for the maximum duration
