The trading division of Zürcher Kantonalbank is one of the most dynamic areas of the bank, constantly generating new ideas. Your applications form the technological backbone for the issuance, trading, and platform business with structured products – from pricing through issuance to lifecycle management.
You are responsible for the integration and further development of central trading and issuance platforms as well as the connected systems and interfaces. For this, we are looking for you as a Java/Kotlin Software Engineer with a strong technical profile and an interest in trading and structured products. In an agile environment, you take responsibility for business-critical applications, work closely with trading, and continuously develop your professional and technical skills.
- Further development of our central backend platforms for pricing, issuance, and lifecycle management of structured products
- Contributing to modern web applications with Angular for internal and external frontends
- Designing, implementing, and further developing resilient backend services and interfaces
- Collaborating with the trading departments of structured products to analyse requirements and implement them with sound professional expertise
- Participating in the entire lifecycle: from idea through specification and story development, implementation and testing to operation following the principle "You build it, you run it"
- Completed higher technical education or further training in computer science
- Several years of practical experience in the conception, design, and development of modern backend applications, ideally in the financial sector
- Very good knowledge of a JVM language, ideally Kotlin, and willingness to primarily develop in Kotlin
- Experience with modern toolchains for software development, CI/CD, and operations
- Experience with or interest in cloud and container technologies
- Experience or strong interest in structured products or trading, ideally with practical experience in a trading or derivatives environment
- Enjoyment of business analysis: You refine professional requirements together with trading and translate them into viable technical solutions
- Team-oriented personality with a sense of responsibility, who seeks dialogue with the business and communicates well in both German and English
- Motivated, experienced, and self-organised development team with close exchange with the trading departments of structured products
