Our client is an established industrial company with a broad technical product portfolio and an international focus. In the course of further growth and the strategic realignment of the purchasing department, we are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial-minded individual who actively shapes and develops purchasing.
In this versatile and responsible position, you will play a central role in the development and expansion of modern purchasing structures, maintain and expand international supplier relationships, and contribute significantly to the company’s long-term competitiveness.
- Global procurement expertise with experience in building and targeted development of international supplier networks as well as in the realignment of existing purchasing structures
- Broad technical product group knowledge, from cast, turned and milled parts to plastic and rubber components, electrical cabinets, controls, etc.
- Negotiation skills on the international stage with confident presence in price, contract and terms discussions with suppliers worldwide
- Analytical and digital skills with a strong understanding of numbers, very good Excel knowledge as well as experience with SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 and fluent German and English
- Entrepreneurial doer personality who independently tackles the development of the purchasing department, creates sustainable structures and assumes a central role in the company in the long term
- Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in mechanical or plant engineering or a technically comparable environment
- Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written
- Very good Excel skills and confident use of digital tools
- Experience in building up or realigning purchasing structures and supplier portfolios
