To strengthen our General Secretariat department, we are looking for a translation intern in a master's program in Lausanne from September 2026 for a duration of 6 months.
Within corporate communications, you will gain insight into the main tasks of the Language Competence Center, which deals with communication, translation, language technologies, automatic translation, and terminology. You will be closely supervised by the team but also work very independently.
The following tasks await you:
- Translation from French into German of technical texts from the insurance and finance sector, but also mainly general internal and external communication (press releases, internal employee magazine, marketing brochures, website, content for social media, training materials, job advertisements, etc.)
- Revision and post-editing of existing translations
- Terminology work and maintenance of the terminology database in FR-DE-IT-EN
- Transcreation and free editing in German
- Audiovisual translations, video recordings, subtitling
- Collaboration on various AI projects in the translation field
- Assistance with specific projects in the team
This is what sets you apart:
- You are currently enrolled in an academic master's program (university or university of applied sciences)
- Your mother tongue is German, with working languages French and Italian or English, and you are proficient in common office applications
- You have experience with the translation of technical texts
