The Office for Spatial Development (ARE) is the cantonal specialist office for spatial planning, geoinformation, and cultural heritage preservation. It contributes to the promotion of the quality of the location of the living and economic space of Zurich and creates the conditions for attractive settlement and landscape areas. To strengthen our Department of Law and Procedures, we are looking for a lawyer immediately or by agreement.
Your tasks:
- Legal advice to the Department of Spatial Planning on matters of zoning and land use planning
- Drafting statements and applications for internal and external parties
- Independent management of legal proceedings
- Quality assurance in sovereign tasks and other official business
- Interdisciplinary collaboration in projects and working groups of the Office for Spatial Development and the Department of Construction
- Leadership and participation in legislative projects
Your profile:
- You have completed a law degree (lic.iur or MLaw)
- You have professional experience in the field of planning, construction, and environmental law
- You ideally hold a certificate of competence as a lawyer
- You work carefully, efficiently, and independently
- You are communicative and can convey concerns in a stylish and audience-appropriate manner
- You think in a networked way, are decisive, and enjoy contributing in an interdisciplinary environment
- You have a confident demeanor, pronounced negotiation skills, and an understanding of political contexts
