About the job
Do you want to take on more responsibility in obstetrics and prenatal diagnostics and take the next step in your career? In a modern women’s clinic in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, you can expect plenty of scope for creativity, a stable team, and the opportunity to actively shape women’s healthcare.
You will be joining an established women’s clinic in a modern specialised hospital with around 1,000 births annually and a broad medical service spectrum. The clinic is particularly distinguished by its personnel continuity: turnover is low and the long-standing collaboration is characterised by mutual trust.
In this position, you will assume professional and organisational co-responsibility for prenatal diagnostics, obstetrics, and the postpartum period. You will further develop existing structures, contribute your expertise, and work closely with paediatrics, neonatology, and other specialist departments.
Your responsibilities:
- Professional and organisational leadership as well as further development of prenatal diagnostics, obstetrics, and the postpartum ward
- Independent conduct of general and specialised clinics for prenatal diagnostics and high-risk pregnancies
- Care of complex obstetric cases and taking on the on-call duties of the women’s clinic
- Supervision and professional support of senior and junior doctors
- Leadership and development of the junior doctor team including recruitment and training
- Close interdisciplinary collaboration with neonatology, paediatrics, and the emergency team
Your skills:
- Specialist qualification in gynaecology and obstetrics with solid experience in obstetrics, prenatal diagnostics, and perinatal medicine
- Specialist title and/or DEGUM II desired
- Enjoyment in caring for high-risk pregnancies and in demanding prenatal diagnostics
- Leadership experience or motivation to take on additional leadership responsibilities
- Strong team spirit, sense of responsibility, and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
Your benefits:
- Professional scope for creativity: Take responsibility and actively develop prenatal diagnostics and obstetrics
- Attractive clinic size: Around 1,000 births annually offer a diverse obstetric spectrum
- Challenging medicine: Specialised prenatal diagnostics and care of high-risk pregnancies in a modern hospital environment
- Interdisciplinary exchange: Close collaboration with neonatology, paediatrics, and other specialist departments
- Leadership and talent development: Shape medical training and the development of your team
