To complement our Medic-Help team at the BAZ Basel centre, we are looking for a qualified nurse at 60-100% to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for and ensuring the basic medical care of asylum seekers in the centre, taking into account existing guidelines (BEKO, SEM manual - access to medical care for AS and procedures in BAZ, guidelines for handling medicines, BAG outbreak management manual and ORS processes)
- Conducting and organising an effective triage according to urgency and severity, followed by coordination with medical organisations (emergency, rescue organisations, doctors, dentists)
- Providing initial medical care in emergencies, nursing measures and medically prescribed measures
- Organising, advising, and partially personally conducting regular training for non-medical caregivers/centre management in the area of basic medical care/emergency procedures and prevention
- Ensuring contacts and information flow to doctors, counselling centres and other professionals
- Ensuring the daily consultation hours
- Responsible for the care and management of medical records
Your Profile
- Tertiary education: Federal professional examination (Federal FA) or equivalent (e.g. HF diploma)
- Qualified nurse HF / FH
- 0 to 1 year relevant professional experience
- Teamwork skills, high social competence and sense of responsibility
- Calmness in dealing with difficult situations and openness to different cultures
- Organisational talent and planning skills
- Basic and user knowledge of MS Office applications
- Impeccable reputation (no entries in debt enforcement and criminal records)
- German | spoken: C1 | written: C1
- French | spoken: B1 | written: B1 (advantageous)
- English | spoken: B1 | written: B1
