The Protection and Rescue Service of the City of Lausanne (SPSL) ensures the protection of the population through its six entities: firefighters, paramedics, the Advanced Medical Post detachment, Civil Protection, the Fire Police, and the Rama Training Centre. Active 24/7, they work every day to guarantee the safety of people and property.

Main Mission(s)
Advise project owners, architects, and engineers and ensure compliance with fire protection legislation
Inspect and validate quality assurance files in fire protection within the framework of enquiry procedures
Validate accessibility plans for emergency vehicles to buildings
Conduct visits to public establishments and check compliance with conditions related to building permits for the issuance of occupancy or operating permits
Write technical reports and monitor compliance measures
Manage the invoicing follow-up for enquiry files and occupancy permits
Keep technical and regulatory knowledge in fire protection up to date
Profile
Federal VET diploma in the building sector or equivalent training
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or equivalent experience
Good knowledge of construction materials and their behaviour in case of fire
Must hold the federal certificate as a fire protection specialist
Commitment to obtain the fire protection expert diploma within 5 years is an asset.
Excellent organisational skills, autonomy, and ability to prioritise
Analytical mindset and ability to write technical reports
Sense of responsibility, integrity, and results orientation
Good interpersonal skills and team spirit
Good command of MS Office tools
