- Analysis of existing IT infrastructures as well as development of virtualisation, migration, and modernisation concepts considering security and high availability
- Design and integration of public, private, and hybrid cloud solutions as well as modern HCI and data centre architectures
- Planning and integration of backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions within complex infrastructure environments
- Technical consulting of customers on virtualisation, cloud architectures, VMware security, data centre modernisation, and future infrastructure strategies
- Support of sales and solution architecture in pre-sales and post-sales, for example in workshops, requirements analyses, technical concepts, offers, and presentations
- Coaching and technical know-how transfer within the engineering team as well as support with complex technical issues and escalations
- Evaluation of new technologies as well as active further development, automation, and standardisation of the existing cloud and infrastructure service portfolio
- Several years of practical experience as a system engineer, infrastructure engineer, or cloud engineer in demanding customer or enterprise environments
- Solid engineering knowledge with VMware vSphere as well as experience with virtualisation technologies such as Microsoft Hyper-V
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft cloud environment, especially with Azure and Microsoft 365, as well as understanding of hybrid cloud architectures
- Extensive project and migration experience as well as knowledge in backup, storage, network, security, and high availability
- Current certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft AZ-104, AZ-305, MS-102 or comparable manufacturer certifications are an advantage
- Strong consulting skills, enjoyment of direct customer contact, as well as an independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Fluent German skills (C2) and very good English skills (at least B2) as well as willingness for continuous professional development
- Possession of a category B driving licence

Responsibilities
- Independent planning, technical management, and implementation of demanding customer projects with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and Microsoft Azure- Analysis of existing IT infrastructures as well as development of virtualisation, migration, and modernisation concepts considering security and high availability
- Design and integration of public, private, and hybrid cloud solutions as well as modern HCI and data centre architectures
- Planning and integration of backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions within complex infrastructure environments

Profile
- Completed training in computer science as an IT specialist EFZ system technology and ideally further IT education at HF/FH level- Several years of practical experience as a system engineer, infrastructure engineer, or cloud engineer in demanding customer or enterprise environments
- Solid engineering knowledge with VMware vSphere as well as experience with virtualisation technologies such as Microsoft Hyper-V
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft cloud environment, especially with Azure and Microsoft 365, as well as understanding of hybrid cloud architectures
