Teacher of French - Primary School, Early Years and Key Stage 1
This is a maternity leave replacement (August 2026 to February 2027)
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French language lessons to Primary school students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and development.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the French language curriculum.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Encourage a love of learning and cultural appreciation among students.
Qualifications
- Fluency in French, with excellent communication skills in English
- Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and experience in teaching French to Primary school students
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies
- Ability to inspire and motivate young learners
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for education
- Available to work Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
- Eligibility to work in Switzerland (Swiss national or EU passport holder) is essential
