Teacher of French - Primary School, Early Years and Key Stage 1

This is a maternity leave replacement (August 2026 to February 2027)

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French language lessons to Primary school students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and development.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the French language curriculum.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Encourage a love of learning and cultural appreciation among students.

Qualifications

• Fluency in French, with excellent communication skills in English
• Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and experience in teaching French to Primary school students
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies
• Ability to inspire and motivate young learners
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for education
• Available to work Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
• Eligibility to work in Switzerland (Swiss national or EU passport holder) is essential
