The IV Office of the Canton of Bern is undergoing change and is focusing on a modern corporate and leadership culture. We want to align our actions more closely with the needs of our customers and advance digitalisation. To successfully implement this development, we are creating new positions and looking for committed employees who actively shape the change.
What you can achieve with us
- You lead the Finance and Procurement team and promote the professional and personal development of your employees.
- You further develop our financial controlling and establish a modern management system with relevant key figures and meaningful reporting.
- Together with your team, you ensure smooth financial, budget, and procurement processes and drive their continuous optimisation and digitalisation.
- You prepare decision-making bases and recommendations for action for the management and advise them from a business perspective.
- You help shape the future of our ERP landscape – from the further development of existing systems to the introduction of new solutions.
- Together with the Technical Service team leader, you deputise for the Head of Procurement & Infrastructure and contribute to the further development of the department.
- If necessary, you lead sub-projects, for example for the introduction of an ERP, and work in project teams.
Which skills are important to us
- You have a completed degree (university, university of applied sciences) in business administration or a comparable qualification.
- Ideally, you have a specialisation as well as several years of professional and leadership experience in finance and accounting as well as controlling, preferably in an administrative environment; knowledge of procurement and contract management is desirable.
- Your pronounced strategic-conceptual thinking and analytical skills distinguish you and enable you to successfully structure and implement complex topics.
- You communicate convincingly and appropriately for the target audience and work service- and solution-oriented in an interdisciplinary environment.
- You have very good knowledge of IT applications (ERP, MS Office suite, etc.) and have a strong understanding of digital processes and structures.
- We are a bilingual company (German-French), so good knowledge of the other language is necessary.
