Managing Director FONDATION SUISA (80-100%)

As part of the retirement of our long-standing managing director, we are looking for
an engaged and inspiring personality as managing director starting on July 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Are you passionate about music and want to actively shape the Swiss music scene?
The FONDATION SUISA has been promoting diverse music creation in Switzerland and Liechtenstein since 1989. We support and accompany musicians, composers, and performers in their creative projects and strive to ensure that their works are heard and appreciated.

Your Role

• You will jointly be responsible in a motivated five-member team, along with the board of trustees and the artistic commission, for the strategic, operational, and artistic management of the foundation.
• You will develop innovative formats and projects to specifically promote music creators and ensure that our funding activities have a sustainable impact.
• You will advise and support the artistic commission in assessing the submitted funding applications.
• You will maintain a vibrant network and represent the foundation convincingly and authentically to the SUISA cooperative, partners, authorities, associations, and the public.
• You will confidently manage the planning of business activities, personnel development, the budget, and the IT of the foundation.

What You Bring

• You have solid experience in the music industry and a broad, interdisciplinary understanding of music.
• You have experience in leading a smaller organization and are eager to learn.
• Ideally, you possess in-depth knowledge in cultural management or business administration.
• You are familiar with the nonprofit and foundation sector (basic legal knowledge is welcome).
• You are a communicative personality who enjoys networking and has a participative, solution-oriented leadership style.
• You have experience in handling budgets and finances.
• You speak fluent German or French, are proficient in the other language, have very good English skills, and knowledge of Italian would be an additional advantage.
