Nursing Expert (CAS/MAS/APN) with a Focus on Long-Term Care / Geriatrics

We care for our 126 residents and their relatives with professional expertise and a great deal of human commitment. The situations of our residents—often directly after discharge from the acute hospital—are sometimes complex. Treatment, nursing, and care require specific knowledge in the field of geriatrics as well as individually tailored support in health, social, or psychological matters. The nursing development team works closely with the multiprofessional team consisting of the nursing management, nursing professionals, the medical service, and other areas from the nursing centre and acute hospital.

• Participation in the direct nursing and care of the residents
• Support and guidance of nursing professionals and nursing teams in complex resident situations
• Participation in and independent conduct of further training
• Evidence-based development and updating of nursing concepts and action guidelines
• Further development and support in the implementation of the nursing process
• Collaboration and contribution of geriatric and other expertise to the nursing development and interdisciplinary care team

• have a qualification as a registered nurse HF/FH
• have at least 2 years of professional experience in a Swiss long-term care institution or an acute geriatrics unit
• are enrolled in further training in geriatrics (CAS Intercare, MAS Geriatrics) or nursing science (MScN) or have already completed one of these
• are willing and enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration and working in a small nursing development team operating in the nursing centre and acute hospital
• are an open, flexible, pragmatic, and solution-oriented personality
