About the job
Based in Morat, in the canton of Fribourg, Swiss-Green Engineering Sàrl is a Swiss company specialised since 2009 in renewable energies, with particular expertise in photovoltaics and energy storage solutions.
Our activity covers the entire energy chain: solar production, battery storage, off-grid autonomous systems, grid-connected installations and embedded energy solutions. We design and market solutions intended for both individuals and professionals, with one goal: to promote more autonomous, sustainable and intelligent energy.
Swiss-Green Engineering also stands out for its strong technical expertise. The company notably designs its own SMARTES storage systems in Switzerland and supports its clients and partners in the study, sizing, commissioning and technical support of their installations.
On a human scale, our team operates in a sector undergoing major transformation, at the crossroads of engineering, technological innovation and the energy transition.
Reporting directly to Management, you take responsibility for the Logistics, Assembly/Wiring and After-Sales Service activities, which constitute the operational core of our business.
Your role: to lead, structure and coordinate the entire operational chain, from the receipt and preparation of equipment to the assembly of our solutions, their installation and after-sales follow-up.
Your first challenge will be to break down the barriers between the different operational departments and to build common working methods.
As a hands-on manager, you take a strategic view of the organisation while remaining close to the teams and operational realities. In our SME environment, you are comfortable both in leadership and management and in operational intervention when the situation requires it.
Your objective: to streamline flows, ensure reliable execution, improve collaboration between teams and strengthen their autonomy and accountability.
Your main responsibilities:
- Overall operations management:
• Supervise and coordinate Logistics, Assembly/Wiring and After-Sales Service activities to ensure continuity and smoothness of the entire operational chain.
• Plan activities, adapt resources to the company’s needs and prioritise in case of constraints or bottlenecks.
• Ensure compliance with quality, cost and deadline objectives and implement the necessary indicators to monitor performance.
• Ensure effective communication between operations, Management and other company departments. - Logistics and flow management:
• Oversee incoming and outgoing flows: receipt, inspection, storage, preparation and shipment of equipment.
• Ensure availability and traceability of components necessary for assembly, installations and after-sales service, anticipating needs, shortages and delays.
• Monitor stock and inventory reliability and optimise the physical organisation and flows of the warehouse.
• Coordinate logistics activities with purchasing, workshop, technical teams and after-sales service. - Assembly, wiring and production:
• Supervise and plan assembly, wiring and production activities of our electrical cabinets and energy storage systems.
• Ensure availability of technical files, components and resources necessary for production as well as compliance with manufacturing deadlines.
• Ensure quality of work, organisation of inspections and handling of non-conformities.
• Provide operational and technical support to teams when necessary and facilitate resolution of production issues.
• Ensure effective coordination between the technical office, logistics, workshop and field teams. - After-Sales Service and quality improvement:
• Supervise, organise and prioritise after-sales requests to ensure effective handling of incidents and technical issues.
• Coordinate resources necessary for diagnostics and interventions and be able to contribute to technical analysis when required.
• Analyse recurring issues and their causes to implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Organise feedback from after-sales service to the workshop, technical office and other departments to continuously improve our products and processes. - Team management and coordination:
• Supervise, support and develop the skills of the teams under your responsibility.
• Clarify roles and responsibilities, encourage cooperation and establish common working methods between different departments.
• Develop autonomy, accountability and direct, constructive communication within teams.
• Identify resource and skill needs and participate in recruitment and integration of new employees. - Structuring and continuous improvement:
• Analyse physical and informational flows to identify dysfunctions, bottlenecks and interfaces to improve.
• Formalise and optimise processes and working methods by favouring simple, concrete solutions adapted to an SME. Clarify responsibilities and interactions between departments.
• Lead improvement actions and measure their results. Develop relevant indicators to measure performance.
• Evolve tools and organisation to sustainably support the company’s development.
We are looking for a hands-on manager with a solid technical background capable of structuring an operational organisation without losing touch with the daily realities of the teams.
You have gained significant experience in managing technical and operational activities, ideally in logistics within production, in the fields of electricity, electrotechnics, or energy.
Your experience allows you to quickly understand the functioning of a workshop, logistical constraints and issues encountered by technical teams in the field. You are comfortable in an SME environment where versatility, responsiveness and the ability to intervene concretely are part of everyday life.
You know how to analyse an organisation as a whole, identify causes of dysfunction and transform your findings into simple, concrete and applicable solutions. Your leadership is based on your technical credibility, your ability to make decisions and your aptitude to unite teams around common objectives.
