The Diagnostic Department , composed of eight medical services, has the mission to provide diagnoses, therapeutic products, therapeutic procedures, and specialised clinical consultations of high medical quality, within the shortest possible time and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.
The Radiology Service has as its main mission the performance of diagnostic radiology examinations and therapeutic interventions guided by various imaging techniques. This clinical activity includes approximately 220,000 examinations and 5,000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per year, a significant part of which is provided on a 24/7 basis. The medical team of the Radiology Service also organises more than 300 multidisciplinary meetings per month, on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Job Description
Within the scope of your mission, you assume, under the medical responsibility of the radiologist, the overall and adapted care of patients for the performance of diagnostic examinations and treatments. You ensure their safety, that of accompanying persons, as well as all involved staff. You guarantee the quality of results and procedures chosen in performing diagnostic and therapeutic acts and master the technological means according to the progress of your professional career.
You also take charge of the coordination, organisation, and management of radiological acts by mobilising human and technical resources, and you assist the radiologist during diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. You provide evolving and adapted clinical supervision and teaching to different types of learners and keep your own knowledge up to date.
Finally, you participate in development and research, contribute to the improvement of procedures and working methods, as well as to the development of the profession.
Qualifications
You hold, or are about to obtain, a Bachelor of Science HES in Medical Radiology Technology, class of 2026, and wish to join the care teams at HUG.
A team spirit, cooperation, and initiative are necessary to succeed in this mission, as well as good stress management.
