Accounting Specialist, 80-100%
We are strengthening our finance team and are looking for an
These are your main tasks:
- You are responsible in day-to-day operations for maintaining the general ledger according to the Swiss GAAP FER standards and Swiss Code of Obligations, in particular
- Processing and posting of accruals, valuation issues, provisions, and other complex individual matters
- Ensuring the correct and complete recording of all subsidiary ledgers (accounts payable, donation accounting, asset accounting, etc.)
- Managing the asset accounting - You proactively contribute to development and digitalisation projects within financial accounting
- You are responsible for preparing periodic VAT returns in a demanding environment (flat-rate tax method, international context) as well as for assessing and declaring withholding tax and for the accounting and reclaiming of withholding tax
- You act as a specialist in the consolidation, accounts payable, and revenue recognition processes, working closely with your colleagues domestically and abroad
- You support the team with questions regarding the handling of legacies, planning and conducting external audits, and ensuring an effective internal control system
Ideally, you bring the following:
- A commercial apprenticeship as well as a completed or ongoing professional certificate in finance and accounting or a comparable additional qualification, plus several years of professional experience in a similar role
- Fluent German and English skills are required; French skills are an advantage
- In-depth VAT knowledge and experience with Business Central as well as knowledge of accounting treatment of foreign currency issues are advantageous
- An engaged, dynamic, and structured personality with a flair for numbers
- Affinity for process automation and digital tools
