Vocational Teacher for Professional Studies Specialist Woman/Specialist Man Rail Transport EFZ (5 Lessons/Week)

The Vocational Training Centre Olten is the regional competence centre for basic and further vocational training and consists of the Commercial-Industrial, the Commercial and the Health-Social Vocational Schools as well as the Adult Education Centre. Since summer 2025, trainees of the new apprenticeship Specialist Woman/Specialist Man Rail Transport (Logistics sector) have been trained at the Vocational Training Centre Olten.

This is what you can achieve:

• Training of trainees for the direct operation of locomotives (Cat. A40), in train preparation and in general logistics topics from the role of shunting supervisor and locomotive driver
• Active contribution of your own professional experience as a locomotive driver and willingness to familiarise yourself with logistics topics
• Promotion of methodical and social skills as well as situational support of the trainees
• Individual preparation and follow-up of lessons taking into account the coordination of the learning location
• Collaboration in the creation of teaching materials for all three years of apprenticeship

This is what you bring with you:

• Completed vocational training or certificate as locomotive driver, at least in category A40 and with at least 5 years of professional experience
• Completion of pedagogical training (e.g. basic module EHB) or willingness to acquire these skills
• Enjoy working with young people.
• Confident and competent appearance
• Approval of your main employer
