The Blue Cross Bern-Solothurn-Freiburg is a specialist organization for addiction issues with the areas of work in prevention + health promotion, counseling + therapy, as well as integration + businesses. Around 90 employees and over 260 volunteers at 13 locations implement the diverse offerings, which are financed by service contracts from the cantons as well as donations and contributions from institutions and private individuals. Networking with the Swiss and International Blue Cross supports innovations and quality assurance.
As part of the succession planning, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced leadership personality in Bern starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement as
Head of Prevention + Health Promotion (60-80%)
(Member of the Executive Board)
Your tasks:
- Strategic and operational management of the Prevention + Health Promotion area
- Further development of existing offerings as well as identification and implementation of new fields of action
- Leadership, support, and development of two teams with a total of 13 - 15 employees
- Maintenance and expansion of networks and collaborations with partner organizations, authorities, and the public
- Handling media inquiries on the topic of addiction, participation in the communication team
- Responsibility for service contracts, reporting, budget, resource planning, and quality management in the area
- Participation in the executive management as well as advising the management and the board on issues of prevention and health promotion
Your profile:
- Degree at the tertiary level in social sciences, pedagogy, or an equivalent qualification
- Solid knowledge and ideally additional training in prevention and health promotion
- Project management know-how and preferably practical experience in the field
- Communicative and responsible personality with high social competence and a passion for innovation
- Interdisciplinary and networked thinking as well as the ability to bring in innovative impulses
- Willingness to actively participate in individual offerings
- Identification with our mission statement and our values
