The trading department of Zürcher Kantonalbank includes the areas of equities, equity derivatives, fixed income, structured products, and FX/precious metals trading. Data and AI are increasingly becoming a central part of our work. As Lead Trading AI and Data, you create the foundations for data-driven decisions and new AI-based working methods in sales and trading. Do you want to not only technically design our data base and AI tools but also make an impact directly in the trading environment? Do you want to explore new possibilities with AI agents and work closely with traders, quants, and engineering? Then we would love to meet you!
Your Responsibilities
- Design and further development of the data base for the entire trading department
- Building and advancing data products and analytics solutions that make information usable in real time for trading and sales
- Accessing market, trading, risk, and other relevant data for real-time analyses, pattern recognition, and data-driven decisions in trading
- Building the AI foundations for the trading department and developing AI-based applications
- Design and implementation of agentic workflows in the trading environment
- Technical leadership of data and AI initiatives in close collaboration with trading, quant, and IT engineering
- You are an integral part of the trading department and actively shape its technological development
Your Profile
- Above-average university degree in a quantitative or technical subject
- Several years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, and AI engineering, ideally in the financial sector
- Experience in designing and implementing modern data architectures and data products
- Solid knowledge of data architecture, AI & machine learning, ideally with experience with LLMs and AI agents
- Strong programming and data modelling skills
- Understanding of financial markets and trading as well as the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Conceptual strength, innovative power, and high commitment
- Experience in leading teams, projects, or interdisciplinary initiatives as well as confident handling of stakeholders
- Very good English and good German skills
