Turning old into future. At the Waste Management Competence Centre, we ensure that valuable raw materials remain in the cycle and resources are used optimally. Whether rails, metals, PET, special waste or decommissioned rail vehicles – we are the first point of contact group-wide for all disposal and recycling questions at SBB. At the Trimbach Recycling Centre, materials are assessed, processed and directed to the best possible recycling route. This way, what seems like waste becomes a valuable raw material. As part of our team, you contribute to fully exploiting the "SBB material mine" and make an important contribution to a sustainable and future-proof railway.

What you can achieve.

• The proper acceptance, inspection and assessment of incoming materials is part of your responsibilities. You carry out material determinations and analyses and ensure the correct allocation of recyclable materials.
• You process scrap metals and other recycling materials, channel them into the correct material flows and ensure the necessary weighing, delivery and accompanying documents.
• In day-to-day operations, you coordinate the staff, work closely with sales and material accounting, and support the smooth running of the recycling centre.
• Inventories, administrative tasks and the continuous optimisation of processes are also part of your varied duties.
• You consistently implement safety, quality and environmental regulations and actively contribute to a safe and sustainable working environment.
• With commitment, you support our apprentice recyclers EFZ and pass on your expertise to the next generation.

What you bring with you.

• Team spirit, organisational talent, social skills and a healthy assertiveness make you a valued personality in our team.
• Knowledge of metals and recyclable materials as well as experience in goods receipt or the recycling environment are advantageous.
• You hold a forklift licence and are confident in using MS Office, rounding off your profile.
• Training as a Recycler EFZ or a comparable technical or manual basic education forms the ideal foundation for this role.
• An exact, independent and responsible working style as well as technical understanding and manual dexterity characterise you.
• In everyday work, you convince with your customer-oriented manner, good German skills, resilience and flexibility.
