The General Internal Medicine Service (SMIG), attached to the Department of Medicine , is responsible for the diagnostic and therapeutic care of adult patients presenting a problem or condition related to internal medicine, in collaboration with other HUG services.

The Nephrology Service provides diagnosis and treatment for patients with chronic kidney failure, emphasising all applicable measures to slow or even stop the progression of their condition and coordinating interdisciplinary care.

You participate in the care of patients within a medicine and nephrology unit by providing hygiene and comfort care.

Under the responsibility of the nurse, you prepare and distribute treatments to patients and transmit and document all necessary information for patient care in the patient record.

You provide care and perform medical-technical acts within the competence of CHCAs and participate in implementing health promotion and disease prevention measures.

You support and independently and responsibly assist patients in daily living activities.

You participate in managing orders, medication stocks, and consumables.

You work with computer applications, notably DPI and Winrest.

You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a Community Health and Care Assistant (CHCA).

You have at least 2 years of experience and skills and knowledge in current care techniques.

You have excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written, and good computer skills.

You are an organised and rigorous person, dynamic and autonomous within the scope of delegated responsibilities. You have ease in human relations and a welcoming manner.

You have the ability to manage patient flow and different work rhythms while demonstrating rigour and precision.

You have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and adapt quickly to changes in pace.

You are willing to work day, night, and weekend shifts according to service needs.
