Delegate for Social Cohesion at 70%
in the Department of Childhood, Schools and Social Cohesion
The Department of Childhood, Schools and Social Cohesion of the City of Fribourg develops and implements public policies in various areas of social cohesion, such as community living, integration and seniors. Furthermore, it provides expertise and support to projects of various stakeholders, facilitates their networking, and organises or participates in numerous events.
Your responsibilities
- Define, propose and implement social cohesion policies and strategies (community living and neighbourhoods, migration and integration, seniors, inclusion and diversity)
- Be proactive and coordinate social cohesion areas with those of the municipal administration and partners
- Supervise and collaborate with the City’s contractor for socio-cultural animation work and street social work, in collaboration with the childhood and youth sector
- Plan, develop and manage various projects with partners, associations and public services
- Initiate, collaborate and participate in various internal and external working groups and develop relevant networks
- Advise and support the Directorate on various social and societal topics and represent the department at different events
- Manage a small team
Your profile
- University of Applied Sciences or university degree in social sciences, social work or a related field (anthropology, sociology, political science, etc.)
- Specialisation in one or more areas related to social cohesion with good knowledge of social public policies in general
- Experience in personnel management and project management
- High sense of responsibility, strategic thinking and action, client orientation
- Ability to operate in a multidisciplinary environment and to understand the issues for all stakeholders
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in French or German and excellent knowledge of the other language
