The position is attached to the Diagnostic Department . This department, composed of nine medical services, is tasked with providing diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic procedures, and specialised clinical consultations of high medical quality, within the shortest possible time and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.

The primary mission of the haematology-oncology cellular therapy laboratory (LTCHO), located at the Clinical Cellular Therapy Laboratories Platform (LTCC), is to prepare haematopoietic stem cells for allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplants. The LTCHO also prepares cells for the foeto-placental blood bank.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the LTCHO medical and technical managers, the technician's tasks and responsibilities include managing the entire process of preparing human tissues for distribution for transplantation purposes. This means receiving cells collected from donors from Switzerland or elsewhere. You prepare, analyse, and store these cells in a controlled environment (clean room, GMP). You prepare samples for flow cytometry analyses. You complete production records before forwarding them to the quality control manager. You prepare and freeze foeto-placental blood for the bank. You complete foeto-placental blood bank records before forwarding them to the quality control manager and sending them to the SBSC.

You contribute to the smooth running and quality of the laboratory by performing maintenance work on the equipment and devices used, including technical and biological validations, in collaboration with LTCHO laboratory staff and the LTCC platform personnel.

You participate in the administrative management of the laboratory.

Qualifications

You hold a diploma as a biomedical analysis technician (TAB) or an equivalent qualification.

You have experience in handling and knowledge of human cells, particularly blood cells, experience in freezing living cells, good knowledge of the Inlog computer system, as well as a general understanding of haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HLA system, donor recruitment process and link with recipient, biobanking process for the foeto-placental blood bank) are considered advantages.

You have good knowledge of French and English, both administrative and IT.

Organised, you demonstrate a high degree of autonomy, rigour in work management, manual dexterity, discretion, openness and team spirit, as well as flexibility in working hours.

Additional Information

Working hours (8:00 am – 5:00 pm) may be irregular, with interventions on weekends and public holidays.
