The emergency centre is responsible for the medical emergency care of over 35,000 emergency patients annually, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Our emergency department includes 14 monitoring stations and a shock room with 2 places as well as an integrated emergency practice with 4 treatment rooms.

- Triage (shift management) of newly admitted emergency patients
- Emergency care of adult and paediatric patients in the fields of medicine, surgery, traumatology, urology and gynaecology
- Assistance with and application of therapeutic and diagnostic measures
- Maintenance and upkeep of devices and apparatus
- have completed further training as a Certified Expert in Emergency Care NDS HF or an equivalent qualification recognised in Switzerland
