The LAVEBA cooperative - the likeable Eastern Swiss trade and service provider with well-known brands such as LANDI*, AGROLA*, UFA* and LAVEBA Shop - has been successfully serving its members and customers for over 120 years.
Tradition, high product quality and innovative strength are values for which the organization is known in its market area. With around 700 employees in the areas of retail, agriculture, energy and real estate and at several locations, the company is an integral part of the Eastern Swiss (rural) economy.
Based on cooperative principles, LAVEBA aims to supply agriculture and other sectors with production resources, consumer goods and services as well as the refinement and marketing of agricultural products.
To complement the Board of Directors, we are looking for June 2026
a female or male member of the Board of Directors
Responsibilities of the Board of Directors of the LAVEBA Cooperative:
- Strategic management and overall direction of the cooperative association
- Further development of strategic goals as well as active initiation and promotion of innovations and new business areas
- Determination of the organization and election of the executive management
- Investment decisions within the scope of the competence regulations
- Monitoring compliance with legal requirements
- Design of accounting, financial control and financial planning
Your profile:
- Sound knowledge of the economic environment, especially in Eastern Switzerland
- Proven experience at executive management level, for example as CFO of a company or as a member of the board of directors of a financial institution
- Outstanding knowledge of core functions in finance and accounting (accounting, controlling/audit/ICS, financial risk management) as well as business administration
- Proven knowledge in the LAVEBA business areas of retail, agriculture and energy is an advantage
- Identification with our cooperative core values
- Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
- Availability to prepare and attend the one-day monthly board meetings
- No inherent conflicts of interest with direct competitors of the LAVEBA cooperative
- Openness and enthusiasm for the development of retail, agricultural markets and real estate as well as for the new challenges of energy supply
- Experience as a member of the board of directors is an advantage, demonstrated interest in continuous training and further education
