IT Network & Security Administrator (m/f/d)
Role:
In this role, you actively design secure and high-performance networks that reliably support a modern IT infrastructure. You are responsible for planning, operating, and continuously optimising network and security solutions to effectively protect systems and data. You analyse security risks, implement appropriate protective measures, and monitor compliance with defined standards. You work closely with various departments to understand technical requirements and translate these into stable, secure IT services. Through your foresight, you contribute decisively to ensuring that users can rely on a future-oriented and secure IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- You operate, monitor, and optimise the network and security infrastructure
- In this role, you configure and manage switches, firewalls, as well as site-to-site and remote-access VPNs
- As a network and IT security specialist, you ensure stable and secure operation of the data centre and site infrastructure
- You analyse network, performance, and security disruptions and resolve them sustainably
- In this role, you participate in the detection and handling of security incidents and cooperate with external partners and the SOC
- You maintain and further develop security solutions such as NAC, endpoint protection, and monitoring systems
Qualifications:
- Completed training in computer science or comparable several years of professional experience
- Several years of practical experience in operating enterprise networks and security infrastructures
- Sound knowledge of routing, switching, VLAN, VPN, and modern firewall technologies
- Ideally experience with security solutions and security monitoring
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style with enthusiasm for troubleshooting
- Team-oriented, communicative personality with a high level of commitment in operational infrastructure management
