Regional Service Leader Europe
Location: You can work from any BUCHI location in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, UK or Benelux.
What makes your daily work exciting?
- You are responsible for and further develop the service revenue in Europe together with the General Managers and local Service Leaders.
- You identify regional as well as cluster-specific growth potentials through market and portfolio analyses.
- You initiate and manage regional service sales initiatives such as up-selling, cross-selling and contract renewals.
- You coordinate regional service marketing activities in alignment with global and local strategies.
- You drive the harmonisation and continuous improvement of regional service processes in line with global standards.
- You act as a regional sparring partner for CRM Excellence, define priorities and develop business cases for optimisations.
- You build up and further develop regional Remote Support Centres.
- You ensure the alignment and standardisation of service offerings in Europe to guarantee consistency, scalability and competitiveness.
- You support the transformation from classic service offerings to modern, value-adding service solutions.
- You define and further develop the regional distributor service portfolio and ensure clear added value as well as operational feasibility.
- Together with Global Service, you define requirements for service CPQ, pricing and quotation tools.
- You define meaningful KPIs and dashboards that enable data-driven decisions.
- You support General Managers in better understanding, benchmarking and further developing the service P&L.
- You identify skill gaps and training needs within the European service organisation.
- You develop scalable support models, e.g. for 2nd-level support or shared expertise hubs.
- You coach and empower local Service Leaders as well as field teams – through influence and collaboration, not direct leadership.
- You promote a customer-oriented and high-performance service culture throughout the region.
What do you bring?
- More than 7 years of experience in service, aftersales or field operations environment, ideally in the laboratory, science or instrumentation industry.
- Proven success in building and further developing a service business in a matrix and multi-country organisation.
- Strong commercial competence as well as a good understanding of service P&L, pricing and portfolio management.
- Experience in successfully influencing stakeholders at all levels without direct leadership responsibility.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) as well as data-driven performance management.
- Structured and analytical thinking with the ability to pragmatically translate insights into actions.
- Confident appearance and enjoyment in presenting to regional and global stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience.
- Very good English skills; additional European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel about 30% within Europe.
