Chief Resident (Deputy) at the Psychiatry Liaison Unit
The Department of Psychiatry is looking for a Chief Resident (Deputy) for the CHUV liaison unit in the Liaison Psychiatry Service (PLI) of the Central Psychiatric Sector at 80%.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The CHUV consultation and liaison unit primarily cares for patients hospitalized at CHUV requiring psychiatric care. It responds to requests for evaluation, care, or referral to the various units of the Department of Psychiatry. It also provides services to CHUV departments, notably in the form of team supervision. This unit maintains ongoing reflection on the psychological aspects of patients affected by somatic illness. It conducts training for CHUV teams and leads research on the consideration of psychological dimensions in patients in somatic settings.
The team:
The CHUV liaison consultation includes two senior physicians, three chief residents, four assistant physicians, and two nurses. If needed, the unit can rely on the skills of a social worker.
Mission
- You carry out clinical activities (first and second line), training, and research
- You ensure, supervise, and oversee patient care in an inter- and multidisciplinary framework
- You actively participate in the training of assistant physicians
- You participate in teaching medical students.
Profile
- You hold an FMH specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy or equivalent or are in the process of obtaining it (or a title recognized by the Federal Commission of Medical Professions MEBEKO)
- You have an interest in liaison psychiatry and interdisciplinary work
- You have good experience in managing psychiatric patients in outpatient settings
- You are able to work in a team and share knowledge
- You have a mastery of French, at least level B2 (certificate required) for non-French speakers.
