You ensure that chemicals, consumables, and financially relevant processes run smoothly in the background, thereby making a central contribution to research, teaching, and operations.

Department: Life Sciences and Facility Management

Start of work: From May 2026 or by arrangement, limited until December 2026 (maternity cover)

• You process orders, cancellations, and complaints in central chemical purchasing and ensure a reliable supply of chemicals, laboratory materials, and other consumables.
• You obtain quotes, coordinate delivery dates with suppliers and internal orderers, and contribute to efficient procurement processes.
• You check, code, and approve invoices, process reminders, and thus support the operational financial tasks in the Resources staff area.
• You advise internal stakeholders on purchasing-related questions, support orderers in the system, and ensure a reliable flow of information.
• You receive deliveries, organize internal forwarding, and take on other administrative and organizational tasks in daily business.
• Depending on your profile, you support project work as well as additional tasks such as organizing the lab coat sale or acting as a deputy in the team.
• You have a commercial education or corresponding basic knowledge.
• A laboratory technician training with several years of experience is an advantage.
• You bring a good understanding of processes, organization, and coordination.
• You have English skills.
