Your new role
As Head of Social Affairs, you are responsible for the personnel, professional, financial, and organizational management of the department. Identifying socially and politically relevant topics and further developing the service offerings for the population is important to you. You perform public relations work, organize and coordinate internal projects, and work across departments in various committees. Together with your team, you ensure the proper completion of your tasks and are responsible for fulfilling political mandates.
This position is for you if
- you have a university degree, ideally in the social or economic field, and have already gained practical professional experience in the social sector;
- you are an empathetic personality who enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people and have very good communication skills;
- you have leadership experience, enjoy shaping the Social Affairs department with your employees, and want to further develop it professionally and organizationally.

The Social Affairs department develops the basis for municipal social policy and supervises the city subsidies in the areas of aging, health, social counseling, family-supportive care of preschool children, early promotion, integration, addiction support, neighborhood work, and volunteer work.
