Are you a design draughtsman, metal design draughtsman or project manager in steel construction? Do you want to put your expertise to work on varied technical projects, while maintaining a concrete link between studies, manufacturing and the construction site?

Our partner is a well-established company in the Swiss steel construction market, renowned for its technical expertise and the quality of its projects. It operates in the fields of locksmithing-metalwork, steel frameworks, technical facades, cladding and building envelope.

As part of its development, this organisation has called on Alpia Recrutement SA’s expertise to assist in identifying and recruiting the professional who will occupy this strategic position within its technical office.

Drawing and design are at the heart of the role. Depending on your experience and aspirations, your role may also include the technical, organisational and financial management of projects.

Your missions: design, technical drawing and project monitoring

• Create general, detailed, execution, manufacturing and assembly plans using AutoCAD and the company’s specialised software.
• Study technical files, analyse constraints and develop solutions adapted to locksmithing, steel construction and facades works.
• Prepare the files necessary for manufacturing and installation: construction details, bills of materials, material lists and technical documents.
• Ensure coordination with architects, engineers, the technical office, suppliers, the workshop and assembly teams.
• Participate in monitoring the projects and ensure compliance of the works, quality of execution and respect of deadlines.

For profiles with project management experience, responsibilities also include planning, budget monitoring, preparing offers, supplier consultations, orders and client relations, up to project handover.

Your profile

• You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a metal design draughtsman, a technical training in steel construction or an equivalent qualification.
• You have proven experience in technical drawing, studies or project management in steel construction, locksmithing or facades.
• You are proficient in computer-aided design, notably AutoCAD or other software.
• You have a good understanding of manufacturing methods, assemblies and installation constraints. Knowledge of Swiss standards is an asset.
• You combine rigour, autonomy and organisational skills with a good team spirit. You communicate easily in French with the various project stakeholders.

Professional experience in Switzerland is an asset but not a requirement. Not having worked in Switzerland before is by no means a barrier to your application: we will primarily focus on your professional expertise, technical skills and motivation.

A federal certificate or diploma in steel construction is an additional advantage.
