Class and annual salary (including 13th month):

Tasks:
- receive user requests (private individuals, partners, police and firefighters) and prepare the necessary measures aimed at the speed and completeness of the related emergency devices, with correct registration in the integrated command support system
- ensure the application of all technical and operational measures related to first intervention and alarm, for police and firefighter services
- contribute to the development and consolidation of relational techniques, promoting better quality contacts with users (private individuals, partners, etc.)
- maintain daily and regular contacts with other municipal, cantonal, federal and foreign police authorities, in order to promote mutual cooperation
- deepen topics of interest for the service, in order to develop professional knowledge and maintain constant and continuous personal updating to consolidate automatisms in emergency procedures
- perform the function of general staff assistant if necessary and in support of the Command General Staff (SMC)
Requirements:
- Swiss citizenship
- possession of a federal certificate of competence (3-year AFC)
- possession of a category B driving license
- excellent knowledge of Italian (conversation and writing) and good spoken and written knowledge of a second official language
- good knowledge of the Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- excellent communication skills with internal and external users
- ability to work independently and organizational skills

- good general health, in particular absence of pathologies that compromise regular work performance for the position, physical constitution that allows shift work over 24 hours
- good conduct: no prior record or behavior incompatible with the position
- only tattoos that do not express discriminatory or offensive messages are allowed provided they are not located on the neck, nape, skull, face, and hands at the time of application
- preferential qualifications may include
- experience as a control center operator, with certification from the Swiss Police Institute (ISP)
- work experience in operational centers of first intervention or related entities
- command experience in the military and/or first intervention entities
- experience as a firefighter
- knowledge of the third official language and/or English
Special notes:
- obligation to follow ISP training and obtain the related certifications
- employment will initially be in the form of an assignment (art. 15 LORD) and will be converted into appointment upon obtaining the related certifications
- candidates participating in the competition authorize the Cantonal Police to process all data necessary to verify security, good conduct, and absence of incompatible records for employment in the Police;
- employees who voluntarily leave the force within three years of hiring may be required to reimburse training costs

Employment conditions:
- appointment or assignment: as provided by the Law on the organization of State employees and teachers of March 15, 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any changes in law concerning salary and organization are explicitly reserved
- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
