About the job
You will take over the leadership of a nationally excellently networked specialist department and shape the future of angiology at KSB. Together with vascular surgery and interventional radiology, you will further develop an interdisciplinary vascular centre that has grown over 20 years. With the Vascular Access Center, close collaboration with a large oncology department and the fourth largest nephrology department in Switzerland, as well as the positioning as a LE&RN Referral Network Center of Excellence for lymphatic diseases, KSB has an exceptional nationwide network and a very broad interventional spectrum. Together with the current post holder, you will design a structured handover and take on this key role as part of a long-term planned succession from July 2027.

Your Tasks
- You will take on the strategic, medical and organisational leadership of angiology and develop the specialist department strategically.
- You will ensure a high-quality, modern and patient-centred angiological care.
- You will continue the long-standing interdisciplinary collaboration with vascular surgery and interventional radiology and further expand it.
- You will regularly work interventionally in the catheter laboratory (at least 2 days per week) and actively shape the planned expansion of capacities and service offerings.
- You will ensure care for the entire spectrum of arterial, venous and lymphatic vascular diseases and continuously develop it further.
- You will be responsible for specialised procedures such as endovenous therapies, sclerotherapy and phlebectomies.
- You will further develop the Vascular Access Center together with oncology and nephrology and strengthen the interdisciplinary interfaces.
- You will work closely with rheumatology in performing capillary microscopy to investigate vasculitides.
- You will continue to position KSB as a LE&RN Referral Network Center of Excellence for lymphatic diseases.
- You will engage in teaching, research and further education and promote the professional development of the field.
Your Profile
- You hold an FMH specialist title in angiology or an equivalent qualification.
- You have broad clinical experience in the entire spectrum of angiology as well as proven expertise in non-invasive and interventional angiology.
- A habilitation is desirable and your commitment to teaching, research and further education is accordingly demonstrated.
- You have proven leadership and management skills and sustainably develop organisations and teams.
- You enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration and want to strategically further develop a technically already excellently equipped department.
- You think entrepreneurially, act economically and actively expand sustainable cooperations within and outside the hospital.
