Role:
As a PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer, you are responsible for the development, adaptation, and commissioning of control solutions for demanding customer machines. You accompany new installations and major updates of existing systems from technical conception to commissioning at the customer site. You work closely with customers, suppliers, and interdisciplinary teams and additionally support service and presales with technical queries.
Responsibilities:
Adaptation and commissioning of controls for new installations and major updates of existing customer machines worldwide
Preparation of technical specifications for electrical components and systems
Technical acceptance of components and systems at suppliers
Development of technical requirements for conversions and modifications in presales
Implementation and commissioning of conversions and modifications at the customer site
Handling of service requests for electrical issues via telephone support, remote access, or on-site
Development and adaptation of software for PLC, visualisation, and drives
Qualifications:
Degree as a Technician TS/HF or Engineer FH in electrical engineering, automation technology, systems engineering, or a comparable field
Several years of professional experience in automation technology is an advantage
Solid experience in PLC programming, especially Siemens SIMATIC S7
Knowledge of drive technology
Good German and English skills, both spoken and written
Flexibility for multi-day international customer assignments
Driving licence category B
