As part of a position renewal within the tram maintenance service, we are offering two positions:
Railway Automation Technician
Your mission
Reporting to the tram maintenance manager, you will need to establish reliable fault diagnostics and professionally carry out various maintenance, repair/overhaul, and vehicle testing tasks. These must be performed as quickly as possible to provide various internal and external clients with a quality of service that meets their needs, in compliance with rules, standards, and directives.
Your main responsibilities
• Based on fault reports received and/or transmitted by the direct manager, conduct a thorough examination to identify the exact cause of the fault and estimate its severity as well as the necessary repair time,
• perform various repair tasks to restore the vehicle to working order as quickly as possible,
• according to transmitted checklists and/or requested specific actions, perform various preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and specific actions.
Your profile
• Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as an automation technician or equivalent qualification,
• 3 years of professional experience in automation, preferably in a railway or industrial company,
• driving license, forklift license, and ability to obtain an internal tram license,
• very good knowledge of electrical engineering, automation, hydraulics, and pneumatics,
• knowledge of power electronics and mechanics in the railway field would be an asset,
• very good skills in PC diagnostics,
• very good ability to learn new tasks, curiosity, and adaptability.
