About the job
The Museum of Design Zurich is the leading Swiss museum for design and visual communication. Its collection unites over half a million objects from graphic and design history and is of international significance. As part of the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK, the museum is engaged in research and teaching and regularly produces its own publications. At its three locations in Zurich – on Ausstellungsstrasse, on the Toni-Areal university campus, and in the Le Corbusier Pavilion – as well as through travelling exhibitions and in the digital space, the museum reaches a broad, international audience.
For the Exhibitions Department, we are looking for an intern from December 2026 for a duration of one year

Your tasks
You will support the curator in the development and implementation of exhibition projects as well as the accompanying mediation programmes. In addition to project-related activities, you will gain insight into the various departments of the museum.
Your profile
You have a university degree (preferably a Master’s) in a field relevant to the profile of the Museum of Design Zurich and bring curiosity and career goals in the area of curating. You have very good oral and written language skills (German, English and ideally French) as well as good computer skills, preferably also application knowledge in graphic programmes. You are proactive, flexible, service-oriented, and work independently and reliably.

You will be introduced to all work steps from conception through research to scenography, mediation, and implementation issues and will get to know the work with the diverse interfaces of curatorial practice.
