To ensure these standards continue in the future, we are seeking a strategically minded and strong leadership personality to succeed our current Head of Quality, who is retiring. Reporting directly to the Vice President Operations and thus to the executive management, you will further develop our global quality organisation and consistently lead it into the future.
Your Responsibility – Clear, International, Impactful
In this key role, you will take on global quality management for our sites in Steckborn and Thailand. You will ensure that quality is measurable, controllable, and sustainably anchored.
Your main tasks:
- Strategic orientation and continuous development of the worldwide BERNINA quality processes (BERNINA Quality Excellence) in close cooperation with the quality manager at the Thailand site
- Management of the local quality assurance organisation at BERNINA International AG in the Steckborn plant
- Maintenance of the BERNINA management system including the upkeep of relevant certifications (ISO 9001)
- Ensuring quality planning in projects for new products as well as obtaining all necessary international product approvals
- Optimisation of supplier quality management in close collaboration with purchasing with the aim of minimising incoming goods inspections
- Optimisation of quality and purchasing processes to reduce lead times of industrialisations
- Reporting of relevant quality indicators and deriving effective measures
We are looking for a personality who leads clearly, decides based on facts, and works in a highly structured manner. Additionally, you should bring the following:
- Completed technical or business studies, supplemented by relevant further training in quality management
- Many years of experience in the quality environment of an internationally producing industrial company
- Extensive know-how in product approvals, legal & compliance, as well as ISO 9001
- Leadership experience – ideally in an international matrix organisation
- Very good German and English skills
- High implementation strength, resilience, and a pronounced quality awareness
- Willingness to travel (Asia, max. 20%) and corresponding intercultural experience
