The Office for Spatial Development and Geoinformation of the Canton of St.Gallen (AREG) is responsible for spatial development policy, official surveying, and the provision of geoinformation.
The Geoinformation Department provides digital services as a competence center on behalf of eGovernment St.Gallen for the joint geodata infrastructure of the Canton of St.Gallen and the municipalities of St.Gallen. It supports cantonal specialist offices with all GIS-related questions and takes the lead in the procurement and management of geobase data.
